Newark Medical Practice are now offering face to face appointments as well as telephone appointments. These can be pre-booked, up to 2 weeks in advance, or booked on the day.
We also offer early morning appointments for people who cannot attend during our core hours due to work commitments . These appointments will be on a Monday between 07:30-08:30, these are pre-booked appointments and you should speak to one of our receptionists if you wish to book one.
If you would like an on the day appointment, we ask that you try to call the surgery as near to 8am as possible. You will be placed in a queue and your call will be answered. We appreciate your patience while you wait for your call to be connected. We are aware that it can be extremely busy in the mornings but our phone system allows you to wait as opposed to a continuous engaged tone and having to repeatedly redial. If there are no appointments left and you feel that your issue cannot wait until the following day, the receptionist will discuss it with the on call GP. The GP will call you back and ,if necessary, arrange a face to face appointment.
